Sorry for the lack of news lately. Monday after posting about our referral I went home and came down with a seriously bad case of the stomach flu. I missed the entire rest of the week at work and now 19 pounds lighter, I am back...sortof.
I won't go through the details just suffice to say it's been 6 days and I just started eating this morning. We did make it to our fingerprint appointment on Friday - barely. We only had to stop once. I think it was more of a motion sickness.
We were supposed to leave for Russia this coming Saturday - the 8th. However, we are having trouble with a document our region requires. We had it signed and notarized and unfortunately in Virginia it can't be apostilled. We are trying to work our way around it, but in the meantime, flights have gone up and we are having trouble finding seats together on the planes etc. We are now at the point of possibly pushing travel back one to two weeks. We did apply for our Visas and should receive those this week.
My coordinator has been working around the clock trying to get a different document format the Virginia will accept. Please pray this will happen so we can go meet our little man.
Those of you who have emailed me, I will be working on returning emails this week. I promise I'm not ignoring you.
Please also pray that Troy doesn't get sick. We'll keep you posted.

Glad to hear travel is impending for you, but sorry to hear of the document troubles. Keep us updated as we are in Astrakhan and craving interaction with English speaking people!

Rachel,
I've been checking frequently to see if you have any news on your travel dates. I hope the issue with your document gets resolved soon. Not much longer until you meet your little guy. How exciting!
Feel better :)
Rachel,
So sorry to hear about your illness. I hope you get back on your feet and running soon! No ickys for Troy. I feel your pain with document troubles. Somehow we will all make it through this!

Feel better. You must be going crazy with that document. I know how I am when it comes to hitting these bumps in the road.
Hate to hear about your troubles. Hang in there. I will hold you close in prayer!
Oh you poor thing, that is one "sucky" diet to be on. Good luck with the document, I can't imagine no apostille after it's been notarized, I thought an apostille was basically verifying the notary signature, no? They sure don't make this process easy, that's for sure!
You'll be on a plane before you know it, giving out kisses and hugs to your soon to be little one!
Sorry to hear you've had a difficult week. Hope you're feeling better, and that Troy remains well. Praying for you to travel soon.
So glad to see a blog post from you! I hate that your travels might be delayed but maybe this is God's little nudge to help you feel better before sending you across the world to meet your little guy. I hope the document issue is resolved quickly!
19 lbs... Wow! Now that's sick. Glad you are feeling better. I had kinda the same issue leaving for trip two. In my case everything fell into place. I am praying for you guys. I want to hear all about this little guy
