In Two Weeks from Yesterday

We leave to for Russia to make our final trip to bring our son home. How lucky we are!

We have a lot on our plates right now and I am under a lot of stress. Please pray for us as we are still waiting for documents to arrive that are out of our control. Among those are our updated police clearances and our amended I-171H showing the fingerprint renewel. Both places say we will receive the items on time, but I can’t help but worry we won’t get them as the days count down. Another big worry I have is the amount of time between our flight on the way to Russia. We only have 1 hour and 17 minutes between flights and I am worried about making the next gate in an airport we have never visited. Troy seems to think we will be fine, but I can’t help but worry about every little thing!!

We have started making a pile in our guest bedroom of items we want to take to Russia for us and for our little guy. My sister-in-law Amber has been so helpful to us by letting us bug her questions such as “How many of these would you take?” or “Do we really need this?” We managed to cut several piles in half last night!! Thanks Amber!

As for the baby shower – here is my sister’s last comment from a few days ago.

BABY SHOWER COUNT DOWN.....6 DAYS! WHOOO WOOOO, WOULD YOU LIKE A RED, PINK OR A BLACK BLINDFOLD WITH PAWPRINTS? COMPLETE LONG TERM SLEEP DEPRIVATION COUNT DOWN....17 DAYS

Now I wonder if they are going to take me the SPCA, throw me in a kennel with a couple of dogs wearing my paw printed blindfold and of course the socks!! Okay by me – rubbing dogs for a few hours uninterrupted sounds relaxing to me!!! Of course wouldn’t my babies be jealous?!?!

Your sister sounds so cool. I think when a family supports you like your sister and sister-in-law have during this time you can't help but love them. Please post pictures of the baby shower. I can not wait to see them.

Everything will come together so try not to stress.

Can't wait to hear (and see pictures) of this shower. I can't even imagine what it is going to be like. But it does sound like it's going to be FUN. Enjoy!!!

I hope your paperwork comes on time. That is encouraging that they are telling you things will be completed when you need them. Try to focus on your packing, but you can always touch base with them every few days. I hope we can meet up when you get to Moscow! Stay in touch!

Try not to worry (I know you can't help it) but it WILL all work out. We stressed over one of our flight connections on the way home and it was all for nothing. If it really cuts close on time, let the gate know as soon as you get off the plane that you are on your way and don't forget to hop any of those airport carts that you can! How exciting!

Holy Cow! I am just catching up on your blog and I just noticed that you are travelling soon! Congratulations!

I'm not sure if we will cross paths in Moscow....but it would be great to meet you!

Good Luck and God's Blessings!

I think Troy is fine, you'll make your transfer just fine. Just be prepared with a plan in case something like weather gets in the way.

What an exciting time for you! I can't wait to hear about your reunion and court date! Awesome!

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that all of your paperwork gets to you in plenty of time. I remember how stressful those last few days can be.
