No News = Keeping Busy

Well, it’s been a week and a few days since we have been registered and I gave in and called my coordinator yesterday. No news was the theme of the conversation. She assured me this was good news as since there hasn’t been any news, this means they haven’t requested anything further. She promised to check in with the region to see if they had an update on our file even if it was a ‘nothing is going on’ update. Any news at this point is welcome. Any tidbit of information that means they are looking over our documents and trying to make a match would be worth hearing about.

It’s funny how patient you can be and then when things get close, the waiting becomes suddenly much, much tougher. So I had a little fun today with our blog and changed the colors up. I think I like it. It’ll take some getting used to.

I think Carey once posted this Bible verse:

Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

I printed it that day and taped it to my computer monitor at work and have looked at it every day since. I am trying to remember to wait on the Lord for He is in charge and He is preparing our child for us.

Yes He is!! I'm so glad you have that verse to strengthen you! He is getting your child ready for the exact moment that He has already designed for you to be bonded together as a family. Praying that day is VERY soon!

That's a beautiful verse and great for your computer as this adoption journey is such a patience tester. I am stalking your blog as I know it will not be long now. Hang in there!

It WILL happen, Rachel. I know it must seem like it's taking FOREVER, but it WILL happen, and you will have your precious Daniel in your arms and all of this waiting will be a distant memory.

We love this verse too. We sing it in a song at church and it always leaves me uplifted.

It has to be soon. It just has to be! I can't wait to hear you've received THE call.

Hope you get at least a little update soon!

That is one of my favorite verses Rachel! That's awesome that you are claiming it right now and focusing on Him to help you through the wait! I know you are on the edge of your seat every minute... :)

That is one of my favorite verses. I don't know if you like Christian Music. Lincoln Brewster uses it in one of his songs.

I love the new blog colors! Staying busy will definitely help pass the time... think of all of those things you CAN'T do once the little guy gets home! That is a beautiful verse and definitely one to keep in the forefront of your mind during this process!

Patience! Wow, I thought I knew what patience was until we started this adoption process. It now has a whole new meaning to us! Hang in there and just keep yourself busy. Please be comforted by the fact that the Lord is in control, these children are more precious to Him than they will ever be to us - hard to believe I know.
