Not Much New

This post is about exactly what the title means. There just isn’t much new to report. Still waiting. Waiting for a referral. Waiting for accreditation. Waiting for the day we meet our son and the day we bring him home. We’ve been waiting a tad over 6 months now since our dossier went to Russia and it’s been over a year since we started the process.

I did get my second Hepatitis shot last week and that was no fun. Then the nurse tried to talk me into a flu shot and a booster for Parvo even though I had that stuff before I went to college. I held my arms close to me and said, “No thanks!”

Becky and Carey have inspired me to look at bedding this week and we think we may have chosen a set. Originally we were going with a puppy theme, but then I decided that with three dogs all ready, we may overwhelm our child with puppyness and wanted them to have a break from the dogs in their own bedroom. Besides that, Troy created ceiling fan pulls from fishing lures which he cut the hooks off of, so I think that may have been a hint.

So, here is the set we are thinking of. We would get the four piece set and there is also a matching lamp and valance we would get as well. Let me know what you think!

I love it. I love the nautical theme. It is such a fun, relaxing theme that allows you to add so many different things as decorations (boats, shells, etc.). I think it is a great choice and one that will grow with him.

We can only imagine how hard the wait has been and pray for a quick referral! Your Daniel is waiting!

I'm sorry the process is taking so long. But I promise...when the wait is over and you have the little one in your arms all of this waiting will be worth it!!!
I LOVE the bedding!!!

That set is absolutely adorable! You can do so much with the colors - great choice.

I love the colors. I was going to do an Americana theme and use those same colors. I think its perfect for your little boy's room.

Very cute! I think you will be able to find lots of cute things to put in his room with that theme!

I know the waiting is hard and can be very frustrating. I hope you do not have to wait very much longer!

Love it! This means that you'll have to go to the beach for vacation and get some beachy pics to put on the walls! :-) Of course, if you're in Vlad there IS a beach. Boy, I'm brilliant. :-) I really do like it - you can do so many things with it.

Very cute set! I love the ocean sailboat theme. It would be fun to make him a sign out of a life preserver or old ship steering wheel with his name on it. Very fun!

I hope your referral comes quick too. It feels like life is on hold a little with the waiting.

The waiting is absolutely the worst. I felt like I could have gotten a Doctoral degree in waiting! The bedding is beautiful. Your son is going to be one very lucky little boy. Jane

From experince, it seems like the day will never come. We hated answering the phone the last few months and hearing someone other than CHI. But it will come and you will love Vlad when you finally get there.

We can really relate to the process and frustration of "waiting" but are keeping ourselves busy as you are with thinking about our son's room and what it should look like. It is nice that we are on the same timeline as you, as we could all use some extra support. So, we now know that you are going to have a son. What is the age range that you've requested? We wish you both luck and look forward to keeping each other updated.

I love the boat theme for the baby's room! I think that is just so cute and the colors will be very easy to decorate and coordinate with also! I am keeping you and Troy and your little guy in my prayers! I hope that the waiting is short! Focus on the things on your list that you need to get done and also decorating for your little Daniel. It will help w/ passing the time! MJ
